Not anymore.
They changed the law about 10 years ago, so now it's allowed everywhere expect on the island.

In the state of Kentucky, you can be pulled over and ticketed for not wearing your seatbelt in your car. But neither drivers nor passengers on motorcycles have to wear helmets.

That's not even close to the dumbest law we have here. What about the speed limits on the highways 100 km/h. For no good reason. Between Highway 7 and Arnprior is the least travelled most boring dual carriageway in the world. Safe as any autobahn minus the deer.

Wear your damned seatbelt.

As far as I know, it's only Montreal.

The stupid OBD emissions testing.

3 Points for turning right on Red. 5 points for tailgating. Also you can get the tailgating ticket while merging onto the highway.

where?

NJ. Also required front license plate. Have yet to be pulled over but I'm just going to tell them it's a PA car and they can go pound sand...and I'll pay my ticket.

Yeah, I just moved to Illinois and that being a law is completely new to me. Ended up spending $80 on a front plate relocation kit for my FR-S, so that I don't get slapped with a ticket or have to drill into the front grill. So dumb.

In AZ an HOV lane violation is the most expensive non-criminal driving infraction you can get. Somewhere in the $400 range.

Oh, I do. Always have. I just think it's silly that motorcyclists don't have to wear helmets.

Yeah I bought a bracket for my M3 so I didn't have to ruin the nice original trim piece. I got a ticket while parked in an alley because I had my plate in the front window :|

Yeah that is strange. Something something about the recreational value impeded by a helmet. Our helmet law was repealed a number of years ago, and then put back in place since head injuries cost the state a lot of money.

I wouldn't even have a license anymore if that were the case...I've been driving a FWD car that's got poor traction to a RWD car with a light rear. Chirping the tires is a way of life sometimes.

Funny enough, I am from Illinois and now live in Washington. For the longest time I would send my Mom or little sister the money to register my vehicles in IL then when they sent me the plates I wouldn't put the front plate on. If I got pulled over here I would just tell the cops front plates weren't required/given in IL, it worked every time I needed it to. I figured if there was a cop in WA that knew IL had front plates then I would take the ticket with a smile.
